Finally, I decided to go for a walk
And thanks to Dubai weather change, it’s cool in the mornings now.
I saw a new mum walking with her stroller
My thoughts .. I wish I had done all this that time .. roughly 15 years back .. the walking n fitness, then I would be huffing n puffing today
The little baby in the pram gave me a smile.
The dentist in me (never goes away, always looking at people’s teeth) quickly calculated baby’s age with the erupted incisors, and it was 6-8 months.
But what was this ...
The parenting coach in me was screaming
The baby was watching something on mum’s mobile
Coaches antennae’s were up and loud that I forgot why I was there in the park.
Prams are easy ,
Prams are super convenient
But ............if used for more than required
They devoid the child of T n B (touch and bond)
Which is imperative for psychological growth
More the pram use, bigger challenge is lurking up
Use of mob or tab to distract the child
While caregiver is talking to someone else or into walking, etc
Uneven surface of roads and then *bumps
Eyes get stained to focus
The flashy colours are not so good
The rapid changes on screen causing more damage.
These same kids get glasses early on,
Same parents bring them for gadget de addicted
And affection in relationship is long lost.
Wake up, wake up, wake up
Before it's too late
Build that touch
Build that bond
Which lasts forever
